    WAM architecten wins invited competition for townhouses on the Spinozastraat in The Hague
The project developer Staedion Ontwikkeling invited three architecture bureaus to formulate a vision for eight townhouses with parking space for a plot on the Spinozastraat in The Hague’s Stationsbuurt quarter. The proposal by WAM architecten was chosen as the best.

    Rotterdam’s Essalam Mosque has opened
Rotterdam’s Moroccan community has been using the Essalam Mosque since it’s official opening in December 2010. The building comprises a prayer hall for 1,500 people and several multifunctional spaces for administration, education, cultural events and social activities.

    WAM architecten contributes to an exhibition at the Louisiana Museum, Denmark
On the invitation of the internationally renowned Lousiana Museum for Modern Art near Copenhagen in Denmark, WAM architecten is making a major contribution to the forthcoming exhibition "LIVING, Frontiers of Architecture III and IV". The crux of this presentation is the question of how architects relate to today’s pluriform society. The exhibition will run from 1 June to 2 October 2011. WAM architecten’s contribution was made possible thanks to the support of the Netherlands Architecture Fund.

WAM architecten commissioned the well-known Dutch visual artist/designer Frank Bruggeman to design a remarkable bookcase that occupies a prominent place in the bureau’s office. The WAM library is a perpetual source of inspiration and therefore stands at the heart of the office.
